10 Most Surgically Modified People in the World #3 Is So Painful.

Getting your first piercing or tattoo is a rite of passage for many, but few go as far as these people.

Some of the people don’t think they look good in human form and so prefer to get modified their bodies to look like Animals of their choice.

Others, prefer to pierce every patch of skin while others adorn theirs with tattoos.  In short, the people below range from the bizarre to the ridiculous to unimaginable.

#1. Dennis Avner : The Catman

Denis Avner aka Catman has undergone extensive surgery to look like his spiritual animal – the tiger. He has undergone full-body tattooing, implants that allow whiskers to be inserted into his face and cheek implants, to give himself a cat-like appearance.
And the fantastical feline has also filed and shaped his teeth into sharp points to look more like a his favourite predator.

#2. Lucky Diamond Rich: World’s Most Tattooed Person

Lucky Diamond Rich has not only covered his entire body in tattoos, he has had multiple layers added. The Australian, who has spent over 1,000 hours being inked, has every single part of his anatomy covered including eyelids, the delicate skin between the toes, down into the ears, and even his gums.

#3. Elaine Davidson: World’s Most Pierced Woman



Elaine Davidson has more piercings than anyone in the world, according to the Guinness World Records. In May 2000 she had a whopping 462 piercings, with 192 in her face alone. But by 2005 it was reported that she had a staggering 3,950 body piercings. This includes 500 in her genitalia – externally and internally.

#4. Erik Sprague: The Lizard Man

Eric Sprague has transformed himself into a reptile by inking green scales all over his body. In 1972 he was also one of the first people to have his tongue split – to look more lizard-like. His body modification took over 700 hours and included having horns implanted beneath his eyebrows.

#5. Julia Gnuse: The Illustrated Lady

Julia Gnuse, also known as the Illustrated Lady, was born with a condition called porphyria which causes her skin to blister and scar. In order to cover this up, she started getting tattoos over the affected areas. After 10 years her entire body was covered in the colourful etchings.

#6. Rick: The Zombie Boy

Zombie Boy, whose real name is Rick Genest, shot to fame when he appeared in Lady Gaga’s music video Born This Way. The 25-year-old turned himself into the walking skeleton by covering his entire body and face, in spooky tattoos.

#7. Tom Leppard: The Leopard Man

Tom Leppard, now 78, was formerly considered the most tattooed man in the world. He fled society over a decade ago after he had his entire body covered in leopard spots. He retired to the Isle of Sky in Scotland and traveled out once a week, by canoe, to pick up his pension. But he has since moved into a small house after a friend offered to help him in his old age.

#8. Maria Jose Cristerna: Vampire Lady

Vampire Lady has had all but two percent of her body tattooed. Along with this, she has several piercings as well as titanium implanted horns. The part giving her the nickname though is the four surgically implanted fangs she had put in her mouth.

#9. Paul Lawrence: The Enigma

You’ve probably heard about The Enigma.  Paul Lawrence is the guy with blue puzzle pieces tattooed all over his body who has made a name for himself performing stunts such as sword swallowing, pushing a moving power drill up his nose and swallowing various liquids, pumping them out of his stomach and swallowing them again.  The Enigma is also an accomplished musician.

#10. Tiger Lady

The Tiger Lady is the stage name of the heavily modified female performance artist and tattoo artist Katzen, whose full body tattoo theme is that of a tiger.  She received extensive tattooing on all parts of her body and wears tiger whiskers attached via piercings on her face.  She was once married to “The Enigma”. They got divorced and now she works at a tattoo shop in Austin, Texas.
